Initially, Central Park was a barren landscape with few trees and little shade. Ironically, over the past 20 years this master planned community has become crowded by overplanting with selections that do not mirror our high and dry climate. This family wanted to change that by making clean, xeric selections and removing turf. The grass strip between the road and sidewalk was removed and replaced with ornamental grasses, succulents, and other low water use plants. The grass in the backyard was replaced with easy maintenance artificial turf. With a new built-in grill, dining and seating area protected with a cedar pergola, every part of the yard now has a purpose.
